Switzerland
Majestic mountains, rugged wilderness, delicious chocolates, cheese fondue and amazing people. These are just a few of the things most of us think of about Switzerland. We just returned from a group event and sampled all that Switzerland has to offer. It’s time you did too! As a part of the 1st Annual Ovation Trophy we brought a group of clients eager to experience Switzerland firsthand. The event was themed an “Amazing Race” as our team battled it out with other teams from around the globe. Upon arrival in Zurich we caught a train for a quick ride to Lucern and stayed at the famous Schweizerhoff Hotel on the banks of Lake Lucern. That evening we enjoyed a sunset cruise on the lake which dropped us off for a unique after hours tour and catered dinner amongst the antique aircraft at Switzerland’s Museum of Transportation. The following day we set off on a road rally through the beautiful Swiss countryside with stops along the way. We finished the day at the village of Interlaken in the shadows of the imposing Swiss Alps and famed Jungfrau Peak. We enjoyed dinner at Harder Kulm Restaurant with it’s breathtaking views at sunset of the Alps in the distance. The next day our “race” took us by train to the village of Zermatt which is situated just below the majestic Matterhorn Peak. Our marquis event was the Snow Games at Riffelberg at 8,360 ft in elevation with stunning views of the Matterhorn. We participated in 4 skill events that tested both the brains and our collective athletic ability. Following the Games we settled in for Hot cocoa and amazing Swiss fondue at the Gornergrat Restaurant at 10,170 ft in elevation. You can view pictures of this event on our Events Archive page.
